• This Act is applicable to Indian Citizens only.
• The requests seeking information from the Company may be sent: -electronically through this web application interface or through e-mail directly to a dedicated e-mail ID or -in physical form either in SMPB's prescribed web downloaded and printed pdf form or in the form of a plain letter.
• When information is sought through this web application interface, the system will generate a Request Receipt ID for each information request. Information Seekers on completion of the entry of required information in the web enabled application and after committing/submitting the request are requested to take printouts of their requests in duplicate and send one copy duly signed to the address of PIO or any APIO and retain another copy for their future reference/correspondence, if needed.
• The application seeking information in any form must be sent along with the supporting documents and applicable fee to the PIO or any APIO of the Company.
• All mandatory fields in the web enabled application need to be filled in before committing/submitting the request. Otherwise the system will not accept the request.
• SMPB has published extensive information of the performance and various aspects of the Company in its official website http://www.smpborissa.org.in/ Information Seekers are advised to refer the website before seeking any information under the RTI Act, 2005.
